Executive Leaders
Strategic One-On-One Coaching
Sometimes leaders simply need an experienced guide and sounding board. We’ve been that for many leaders. We understand the unique challenges faced in generating philanthropic support for small and complex non-profit organizations in a changing landscape, and the challenges this poses for leaders.
Particularly relevant now, VPG advisers have led leaders and organizations through significant economic downturns and times of crises. Based on best practices, we’ve learned what works and what doesn’t when it comes to weathering storms, keeping your fundraising program on solid ground, and even thriving.
We have served as special philanthropy advisers to institutional leaders in:
Complex non-profit organizations
Premier health science centers, community and teaching hospitals
Some of the nation’s leading medical schools
Educational and cultural institutions and
Life-changing social service organizations
How
Strategic one-on-one coaching is a way for the VPG coach to advise a non-profit leader on an array of time-sensitive issues, serve as an all-important sounding board and adviser, help problem solve and assure that development best practices of high performing teams are functioning and optimized. It is a privilege to partner with our non-profit leaders to guide them through challenging problems and opportunities that will optimize their fundraising program so they can realize their organization’s noble mission!
We are available to guide the organization’s CEO or Executive Director and, if necessary, to counsel select development staff on strategic and tactical issues.
Strategic coaching is customized to the client’s needs and circumstances. We ask the client to identify the challenges, pitfalls, opportunities and needs to be addressed. We will provide advice and counsel on these and other related topics that, in our experience, should also be addressed. Together, we build a road map for success and the milestones or problem-solving you want to achieve from coaching.
Coaching is typically provided through an established amount of time each month when the VPG adviser is scheduled to work with the client through on-site or virtual meetings, document reviews, and presentations to boards or other groups.
We will also work with the client to provide training and coaching for the board and/or small groups or individual gift officers through our Bold Asking® program, as needed.
Developing trusted relationships with our clients is tantamount to the success of our coaching. We look forward to forming a partnership with you!
